Makes sense. I’ll leave both options open, based on how far anyone wishes to adopt the ‘alter ego’ theory :) I’m almost leaning more towards it, myself, with NMM having sort of a ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ thing going on inside her head, perhaps the latter taking over, over the 1000 years.

Well it could be either, since she transformed on her own it could be reformed, but it could also be that she made an alter ego that took over so it would technically be purged of Nightmare Moon. Actually I like that alter ego idea, if its not anyone’s headcanon then I’m gonna make it mine.

Lately I’ve been thinking. Was NMM “reformed”, or almost more along the lines of “purged” or “exorcised”? I guess it comes down to how much you see her and Luna as being one in the same shrugs
