A-37s are cute. And the prop driven civie plane of the same nickname is almost as cute.

I think the species in general should be called Pegaplane in the singular, and Planesi for the plural name. Because they are, in general, Pegasi that physically look like planes.

I think for a foal they should have styled it on an A-37 Dragonfly or some other adorable little plane.
