There was never any Pinkie. Discord escaped in the first episode and created Pinkie as his disguise. He later revealed himself and in RoH made Pinkie into living manifestation oit of magic to one day convince Celestia of releasing him from stone. Now he often switch from his real self and Pinkie Pie self.
