You’re totally right.
However, it is their fault that Spike wasn’t in the parts that covered all the important exposition, and it’s definitely their fault that that stuff isn’t being recapped now that the comic is good!
It’s not the author/artist’s fault you decided to come in during the middle of the story rather than the start.
But those other pages don’t have Spike in them. It needs to be explain in these pages, now that we’re interested.
