“Let’s put it this way: if you wouldn’t call a woman a slut based on her clothes, why label somebody for wearing a fedora or Brony shirt?
Mind you, there are plenty of people out there who wear fedoras or are Bronies and are jerks. However, there are plenty of people (like me, my fiance, at least four of my friends, and even my neck bearded friend) who wear fedoras and are nice. The first thing I noticed about my fiance back in high school was he had this really cool design on the band of his fedora; he actually helped me get out of an abusive relationship and we’ve been inseparable ever since. My neck-beard friend always gives his whole heart to the women he knows regardless of his relationship to them because he respects them. My guy friends who wear fedoras are nicer than many of the women I’ve known or met in my life.
The bottom line is, nobody should be judged based on their outfit choice, but instead should be judged on their actions, personality, and attitude. Stereotypes are dumb, and tumblr should be the first place to understand that!
tl,dr:When you meet someone who’s a total jerk and wearing a fedora, don’t blame the fedora, blame the jerk! Stereotypes and labels are stupid. Don’t be a hypocrite about it either! How hard is that?”

Amazing somebody’s actually defending fedoras & bronies. Though, personally I never known anyone who wears those hats.
