Rarity and AJ should switch as well as Twilight and Fluttershy. Then after that switch Rainbow and AJ. Then it’ll be more accurate! @Background Pony #0035 Spike would probably be Artemis or Luna.

Not if Twilight’s the one filling Idiot Moon’s high-heel shoes.
 
If that were the case, not only would Spike have to be a bastard to her on a regular basis, but she’d both have to hate regular him while having a crush on Tuxedo Mask him. And don’t even get me started on the concept of Twilight not recognizing him from behind that tiny bit of mask over his eyes. There’s only one baby dragon around, yo.

I’m guessing the cosplay characters are chosen by which pony looks best in which outfit rather than whether the cosplay character matches the pony’s personality.
 
Besides, picturing Twilight Sparkle trying to act like Sailor Moon or Applejack trying to act like Sailor Venus is hilarious.
