Yeh, the Holodeck pretty much ruins it =P . As I said a few comments earlier (yet many moons ago!), I wasn’t really thinking when I threw it in. It just seemed cool at the time.

Incidentally, the Holodeck option is pretty easy to balance by just specifying that, while infinitely programmable, it’s not very well _pre_programmed.  
So, depending on exactly how programming one works, one might require a massive dedication of time and advanced understanding of various scientific disciplines to get so much as a homogeneous plastic cube that can be safely sat on, at the pessimistic end.  
(Then again, I’m not the biggest Star Trek fan, so what do I know?)

Holodecks as demonstrated in the show are totally broken in this scenario. Medical (EMH), food/drink/medicine/hygiene (holodecks have built-in replicators/teleporters to make edible food and small handheld objects which can be taken out of the holodeck), functionally infinite exercise space due to the treadmill effect they use to make it seem like you’re not in a relatively small room (it is demonstrably possible to go skiing and swimming in a holodeck)and with an internet connection, I never really have to worry about anything ever. If I pick up the 20 point option to take it with you, there’s a good chance I’ll never leave.

Holodecks come equipped with replicators. So I grab the holodeck and a high-speed internet connection, and I literally never need anything else. Treknology is awesome like that.

Why not? Additional Anons / Companions receive their own 15 points to spend. I’ll work out some way of randomly generating their choices later (complete with removing options that you’ve already selected).

yea… no… i have seen what a lot of the mlp people look and act like, and in this case, you have to keep in mind that the people going would be taking it seriously, as in they would be willing to forgo 10 years of their life to go to a land of possibly not fitting in there either. i cant imagine the people who would seriously go are the kind of people i could stand 10 years with…
 
unless there was a “what happens in the bunker stays in the bunker, policy for that option” where lets say the other person goes missing, there is a no questions asked about it rule.

Just remember, you’re going to have to deal with their bullshit for an entire year.

personally i would take the computer, internet and pirate some 3d programs and use the 10 years to learn them… there you go digital legso…
 
on the topic of digital legos, look into fortress craft, it has hands down the best un modded system for voxel building on the pc currently, to the point even modded minecraft would have a hard time comparing. its i think late alpha early beta and goes on sale for less than 5$ every now and than, if you look up a you tube video of it keep in mind, the just ported the engine and are getting FAR better performance.

Locked in a basement with over four hundred million legos would be heaven for me. Screw Equestria, I got spaceships to build!

Misc: Transformation into a Pegasus, The greenhouse/swimming are would provide enough space for short flight and I think “flying” under water would keep my wings and body in fair shape. The greenhouse would provide all the nutrition I’d ever need as an equestrian. -15 points, leaving Zilch, Zero, Nada. ^^
 
I see no reason why I couldn’t survive for 10 years that way, Away from the world and it’s problems. There’s a small chance I might not WANT to go to Equestria after 10 years like that… but it’s very small.. like… microscopic small. xD ^^

And yeah, that’s why the Holodeck is so expensive. It covers just about everything other than food, drink, abuseable substance, hygiene, and physical companionship. It also isn’t automatically programmed with any kind of television, movies, or video games. Because, damn, that’d be a lot of information to store.
