My Little Pony - 1992 Edition

Does it seem odd to anyone else that Rarity, of all ponies, is the one with a passion for “Roadside America**” style attractions? Not that I’m complaining (I’d rather look at a Dinosaur World or Frankenstein’s Castle at Lake George or Weeki Wachee’s City of Mermaids than Disney World, myself), but it seems odd for the proper and prissy pony to like them. Maybe it’s something her parents introduced her to?

From my own experience, having the tongue there for a static shot helps to make it look like they are talking. Take out the tongue, and they end up just seemingly gawking.

I love how Andy tends to draw the ponies with a visible tongue resting at the bottom of their mouths when talking. It’s surprisingly cute.
