I’ve always wanted to see-or write, but I’m not that good- a story or movie that looked like a rather pedestrian romantic comedy…. except that, throughout the film or whatever, the viewer would always feel something was “Not quite right”, like they kept seeing something wrong in the background, but they couldn’t figure out what.
 
The reveal at the end would be a pan out to show exaclHOLY FUCK WHAT THE HELL IS THAT from the audience when they see what horrible thing is going on in this world. SO, that when they see it again, then they can’t NOT see this horrid thing EVERYwhere, so much that it reveals that the movie is a straight-up horror film, including the realization of how fucked up the ‘lovers’ must be– or HAVE to be– to ignore this thing that’s everywhere.
