Because he was part of the staff of security who was guarding Lauren. I could imagine why him becoming a source of knowledge could end up ugly for the security company.

Why would the guy get in trouble? It’s not like Lauren works for the show anymore, she’s not contractually obligated to keep any secrets, and considering that not only did EQD post it but it’s all also coming from a secondhand source, any information presented in that video can be oh so easily discredited by Hasbro.

Knowing how fans react to any episode that has RD as anything but a paragon of awesomeness and being right, people would have hated this episode.
 
The whole episode would have been her screaming at this pony and saying that they’re stupid for pretending to be a deer while Applejack tries to stop her.
