Yeah, I don’t see any evidence of who “dumped” who here. I was hoping all through seasons 2 and 3 for some scene to address the fact that we never saw Twist and Apple Bloom together, but by now I’ve given up on seen a canon explanation; it’s all just speculation and fanon now.

I think most of the hate is because of her annoying lisp.
 
And the fact that yes, she got her CM and then dropped Apple Bloom immediately.

Ah don’t hate her, and I don’t understand the hate, I just don’t care for her.
 
She appears in one episode in season 1 and is promptly forgotten by Apple Bloom shortly afterwards. I mean, they were best friends until Twist got her cutie mark.
 
Than it was the CMC trio. Did AB just abandon Twist because she didn’t want to be friends with somepony who had their cutie mark, or got it before she did? The series never answers why she’s just brushed to the side for two new ponies who don’t have marks like her.
