Pity. I was hoping “half-harmony, half-chaos” thing was setting up plot for reconciliation between harmony and chaos, dealing with and accepting chaos inside of her, unveiling truth behind draconequi, etc.

Not really..I think this is meant to be like a bad end scenario cause her transformation is kept in check by her element.  
She hasn’t taken it off for… 4 books now. The last time she took it off on purpose was in Innavedr.

Thankfully Naruto’s end seems to be close now. Depends of how many chapters Kishi can drag on the upcoming Naruto VS Sasuke showdown.
 
Another example would be Dragon Ball. The series got way longer than its initially planned conclusion, with a perpetual escaladation in new enemies and power-ups (and, aside from Goku, most of the original main cast fading in the background).

Yeah that is right, I don’t actually read One Piece (or Bleach or Naruto for that matter) I was just writing down really long running Manga that first popped into my head.
 
So OP isn’t really an example, however Naruto would be from what I remember of it.

Agreed for Bleach and Pokemon who are dragging on an on with no end in sight. One Piece however does have an ending planned (the time skip four years ago was marking the halfway point of the story), even if it’s also taking its sweet time to get there (Oda initially thought it would only be a five year run).
 
But yeah, sometimes when you write a story, it’s better to know (or at least have an idea) how it will end.

I get where you are coming from with that. However this is more like say Harry Potter, Lord or the Rings, The Dark Tower ect. something with an end point and its just a long time getting there.
 
While stuff like Bleach, Pokemon, One Piece, Inuyasha and the like could have ended several times over with no problems but keep going anyway. I feel there is a difference between taking your time and pointlessly going on after its clear the story could have and should have ended.

Good stories should end. It look like a neverending parasite that remind me of Bleach or Pokemon. Nobody got time for that.

We aren’t talking about chapters like a lot fanfics do (seriously having your chapters be 10,000 to 20,000+ words each is absolutely unnecessary, IMO) the average length is like 1,000ish words likely less. Most can be read in like 5 minutes, if you are an average reader.
 
However I do admit it does look really intimidating to get though if you are just starting out now.

To the ones asking for the fanfics this is based on, http://www.fimfiction.net/user/Imploding+Colon that is a link to the author. The order is like this: Austraeoh then Eljunbyro then Innavedr then Odrsjot then Urohringr.
 
The next story should be coming out within a day or two. So far there are 1000 chapters, however they are luckily pretty short for the most part so don’t let the length get to you the story is really, really good.

Well, it’s a long horn. The blood may have already soaked through the mane. The way it’s clumped up just underneath the horn suggests that.
