…not sure how far I buy this whole forevermore-tainted, EVIL NEVER DIES(TM) bullroar when we see its avatars & practitioners sealed/purged/dispelled/depowered/blown into next week by friendship rainbows around the end of each season. Plus, if every pone has the potential to germinate a Nightmare, you’d think that would be common knowledge & commonly guarded against. As is, there’s enough pettiness/ill-will amongst ponykind that you’d think, oh, 15% of the demographic would be rocking cat-eyes & megalomania.
 
Then again, the above paragraph may be my lingering irritation with the IDW arc speaking. Always seemed a bit weird that Lulu’s shadowy closet skeletons took so long to get their act together & mess with the folks who evicted ’em.

He means a lot of artists tend to consider the IDW comics at least partially in line with the show, especially when it comes to Nightmare Rarity. It’s always best to be at least partially aware of comics.

I was just thinking, it’s not exactly the Nightmare, but rather something that was actually part of Rarity all along and the Nightmare gave it form and thought.
