I heard lots of herbivores have sharp teeth because they’re useful for grasping fruit.

I have a feeling that they are fine eating animal products so long as it’s nothing that required harming one. The cows give up milk willingly, and chickens will keep making eggs.

Yes, real Horses suck.
 
But the Ponies in MLP “CARTOON” eat Chocolate, Sugary Sweats, and Eggs in baked goods, Pinkie does vomit off screen as a reaction to Baked Bad’s (S1E4), Pinkie specifically says she needs eggs in that episode.
 
Cartoon Ponies are Omnivores. Yes, I know Pinkie refers to themselves as Vegetarian in “Over the Barrel”, but Vegetarians don’t eat Meat, Eggs, and Dairy. MLP Ponies eat Eggs and Dairy, meaning they are (Real word) Ovo-lacto vegetarians.

Well you should just feed them grass, hey, oats and some kind of grains and some treats. And they need daily about 2% of their own body weight of it. Which equals to about ~25 pounds a day. In preferable smaller portions around the day.  
But I am not an expert.

Well I guess it’s a good thing these aren’t actually horses, but magical ponies. I can’t imagine how Pinkie would fair if she couldn’t eat chocolate.

Well they have very tender stomaches, and the certainly can’t eat meat and many other things, which basically means they are classified as herbivores, to be specific Hindgut fermentation with very, very few exception. Like one subspecies that can digest fish.  
But really Equine nutrition is more complicated than you would think. And many things you think they would have no problems with, could actually kill them, because they can’t just vomit like humans.

That being said, consider the fact that every time their mouths are open their teeth are completely flat, the reason they’re not here? It looks more threatening.
