I don’t know if that really matters, I was talking relative ages. Spike is a kid to the ponies so it makes sense he’d still be a kid if turned into a pony, and visa verse.

Literal age wouldn’t make much sense considering the difference in lifespans between the species. Assuming ponies lifespans are comparable to humans’ as we have every reason to believe a 1000 year old dragon turned into a pony might manage a breath before it crumbled up into dust or something, it would be so obscenely old for its species.
