Well, maybe they will date in last season too? Anyway i think that one episode in S3 and few episodes in S4 with letter writing and tea parties is still too early for them to grow as lovers. I know that FlashLight was way earlier than this but this series is about friendship. I cant imagine any of the characters to fall for someone who isnt already their friend. Those crushes with strangers will be shallow like the one with Blueblood and Trenderhoof. Even Shining Armor was Cadance friend before they got married and it seem that Cheerimac will also grow from friendship

Well calling him a friend isn’t really friendzoning. It gives them a higher probability to become something serious in the future. Ron and Kim Possible were friends for entire series until last few episodes. If she said something more serious than that we would lose a lot of build up which i hope Meghan prepared for upcoming seasons.

Of course someone would have to edit that, and never just accept what she really says.
