The NCR…I’m sorry, but I’m facehoofing right now. It seems the paper pushers in the NCR government actually tried to strongarm the Lightbringer. Seriously guys? Do you not have enough to do or something? Fortunately, this story has a happy ending; our Bringer of Light shut them down with a rather inspired bit of legalese, which I will repeat for your enjoyment. And I quote:
 
“It is my position that the S.P.P network is an independent sovereign state, whose existence predates that of the New Canterlot Republic by several years. As such, it is neither part of the NCR nor subject to its laws. Any attempt to damage or disable the network will be considered an act of war, as will personal retaliation against myself or my friends. Considering the nature of the S.P.P. and its defenses, such action would be extremely inadvisable.”
 
Well put, Lightbringer. I suppose having a millennia-old god-empress as a roommate comes with good legal advice. And as a personal note to the NCR…look, after everything the Bringer of Light has done for the wasteland, I think she’s entitled to keep her house. Do you really want to be the assholes who kick her out?

ok, 1) the SPP doesn’t just hold Celestials memories, she used necromancy to bind her soul to the machine.  
and  
2) by the end of the story Littlepips body was in really bad shape and would have given out in just a few more months; the SPP is the only thing letting her live as long as she did and removing her from it is effectively a death sentence

Are… They trying to piss off an entity that currently cntrols the equivalent of a nuclear arsenal because “she is not a technician”, despite being the one fixing the damn thing?
