It took several years, but eventually we found out that Anugypt and Abyssinia are related, and that the Abyssinians are magical cats of several tribes, including Anugyptians. There are indications that the Anugyptians may have been driven out by the pegasi who took control of Anugypt which then became Southern Equestria. In a fanon comic by an IDW artist it was revealed that the abyssinians and the ponies had a bad relationship for a long time. As we can see from Baast’s behavior here, she does not like the ponies - and it’s not strange considering that Anubis had an army of pegasias, unicorns and ground ponies. Which suggests that the ponies were new in Anugypt perhaps two to three thousand years ago, Discord had pointed out that the jackals had a central role in the formation of Anugypt. When the modern Equestria originated, only the ponies left in Southern Equestria may have been subject to a pegasi empire.
 
Everyone in ancient Equestria seems to be associated with Anugypt or the warmer southern regions.

And so Abyssinia was born and the first rule in there nation became “No diplomacy with ponies”

I’m pretty sure that Sweetie Belle just incepted the Magic of Friendship into the world. Explaining the difference between “meteor” and “meteorite,” discussing causality and time being set in stone in regards to time travel, and now instigating a stable time loop regarding the founding principle of Equestria… I’d say she has a very good resume in this comic for somepony without a cutie mark.

Yet ANOTHER person who just reads the first few pages of a comic. Luna IS Nightmare Moon, even the part that was separated. That’s why she kept on repeating she was lying to them, and why she says the opposite at the final issue of the arc.
 
Sweetie Belle is saying that Anubis got corrupted by his own power and fell into darkness, just like Luna, and somewhat like Sunset. It’s a good guess, considering both Luna and Anubis could be considered deities of similar nature.

Anubis is a cool guy. But if what we see is correct, he’s corrupted by the Nightmare forces same as Luna was. That’s what Sweetie Belle is trying to say.

According to the artist, she used Twilight Sparkle colors. Is she symbolise that Twilight have a secret crush on Discord? It would make more sense than with Flash. He is the only one that would be as intelligent and talented in magic as her. Hehe a catfight betweeen Twilight and Fluttershy would made my day xD
