ah! i was under the impression they died… (2nd season baddie brought them back, so implied resurrection, at least to me ). If they didn’t die, what happened to them in the first season?

They never died in the first place. Anyway there’s also the fact that while there is a full US dub, it got screwed because they couldn’t find any spots to air it on TV.

Unfortunately, Mermaid Melody isn’t well known in the U.S. as it is in Europe. So it wouldn’t make sense for most of us.
