Here in this bit of the UK at least “kebab” by itself means doner kebab, not shish. Take-away brick and mortar kebab joints often do both though. Street food: expect just the vertical spit and pitta.
And yes, you’d not be hugely surprised to find horse in either.
Correction: Shawarmas, not kebabs.
As if I care, they’re delicious anyway, but I don’t think Rarity, Twily and Comet would be smiling if they knew it…
