For all his snootish-ness, I feel like he would be the sort of pony who should do this not to fulfil the self absorbed and appearance obsessed to chi or stereotype. I think he’d do it simply because he’d enjoy these things. Not because it’s expensive, but because h it’s a thing that HE likes, he likes to take care of himself.
