It’s a meme that apparently originated in Japan. Basically someone came up with a pair of generic hands holding a positive pregnancy test, and people realised you could just recolour them to fit in with just about anyone.
 
When even a freaking Gundam (not the pilots, the actual machine) winds up holding one of these, you know it’s getting outta hand.

Shining Armour: “SENTRY! How could you do this to my sweet smart sister?”  
Flash Sentry: “Captain Armour, Sir, I…can explain everything.”  
Shining Armour: “It’s back to boot camp for you, fledgeling!”
