Updated version of >>722203, so let’s see how far I’ve come along compare to that. Also give me some feedback in the comments, and please DON’T DOWNVOTE IT BECAUSE IT’S “SANIK”!
Some people also only downvote this ‘cause it’s Sonic-related. We got quite a few Sonic-haters on this site, (but don’t worry we have some Sonic fans, as well) I even saw a guy admit he loves to go around downvoting Sonic pics. I also see some of the same people complaining/insulting several Sonic-related pics. (Yet, apparently don’t have the energy to filter the “Sonic the hedgehog” tag.)
Even the “good/impressive” Sonic-related fanart pieces sometimes have up to 20, or 40 downvotes, regardless how many upvotes they have. Don’t take it to personally. Sonic is oddly a very controversial character on the internet.
(I’ve seen drawings worse then this with hardly any downvotes BTW.)
Some people just hate that hedgehog as much as Robotnik does.
Don’t pay attention to the downvotes, go by the comments on how to improve.

try using the females more for reference and not the males, maybe you did, but Blaze and Amy don’t have huge angry eyebrow ridges as far as I know. Blaze’s eye style would likely fit Sunset shimmer far better anyway.
Thanks for the feedback. At least I know it was not the coloring’s fault, but yeah, I will make sure I take your advice and redraw my Mobian ponies.
It’s less a muzzle and more sticking the nostrils onto an unfitting face. The limbs are far too long for the body, even by Sonic standards. The horn also seems to be slanted down too far, the hands posing is wonky and Sunset’s lack of neck is more than a little alarming. I like the coloring of the piece but that’s it sadly.
Only hedgehogs have them, not any other species (as far as I know) unless you get the comics into the mix, which I know at least the mongoose have had mono eyes too.
I don’t know if it was your intent, but that last part sounded more insulting than factual.
I’m trying to emulate the pony nose by having a split nozzle, but boy, couldn’t know that it turned out THIS bad…
