“The MLP - Teen Titans comparison was well received so I was inspired to try again.
(The Teen Titans MLP Comparison: [link])

Also the personalities of the the MLP mane six and the Satam primary characters were uncannily close!

Antoine D’Coolette / Fluttershy:
Both are by their natures shy and awkward and could be considered cowardly and pessimistic. They also prefer peacetime pleasures to adventures or danger and have a sense of refinement and class they like to preserve in all things. They are also not unskillful fighters when their backs are against the wall or their friends are being threatened.
  •
    Reactions on Meeting: Neither would likely ever approach each other because both are cripplingly sheepish. But Fluttershy is more then willing to greet friends when she’s certain they’re safe, and Antoine highly regards his decorum so he’d likely greet her in a formal fashion, perhaps kissing her hoof.

    Sonic / Rainbow Dash:
    Both are speedsters, daredevils, reckless and exuberant. Their extraordinary athleticism is their distinction and a credit to their allies. Sonic and Dash are also a shade arrogant about their abilities, but brave enough to face any situation or foe, treating both like a personal challenge and another opportunity to improve themselves.
  •
    Reactions on Meeting: This is a friendship practically made to order. Sonic and Dash speak roughly the same way, have similar interests, probably move equally quickly and have the same devotion to loyalty. They might get on each other’s nerves because of their mutual interest in being the best, but more likely it would lead to intense but friendly competition.

    Bunnie Rabbot / Applejack
    Both are hard-workers, heavy lifters, and front line battle units if it comes to a knock-down, drag out fight. They are both stronger then their fellows but use that strength to the advantage of their comrades and community. They also both have southern accents and wear wide brimmed hats.
  •
    Reaction on Meeting: This is another pairing that makes one wonder if the writers drew from SATAM when redesigning MLP. Bunnie and Applejack are alike enough to be sisters and would probably treat each other as such, endlessly occupied with telling each other ranch stories or boasting of their lassoing exploits.

    Rotor / Rarity:
    This might seem an odd and out of place comparison, but the similarities are there. Both are industrious, skillful craftsmen who love their work and putting in hard effort to improving the lives of their fellows. They’re also patient, polite, and live solitarily.
  •
    Reaction of Meeting: Although from two social classes (Rotor decidedly low class, Rarity aspiring for the upper crust) these two might still get along. Rotor is friendly enough and Rarity, unless irritated by her workload, is open and amiable. Rarity’s craft of costuming and Rotor’s knowledge of machinery and computers could lead to a unifying conversation about working and diligence itself.

    Miles ‘Tails’ Prower / Pinkie Pie:
    Both (speculation in Pinkie Pie’s case) are the youngest of their group. Both are enthusiastic, slightly hyper, and endlessly curious. Both are also inventive, fiercely devoted to their fellows, and have issues with self esteem and lack of purpose if pushed to the side. Tails and Pinkie also really enjoy a good party.
  •
    Reaction on Meeting: This would be something to see. Pinkie’s reaction to anything is unpredictable and Tails tends to flee anything he doesn’t completely understand, but the two could be brought into friendship if one of them got the other involved in a play activity, that being the way they both resemble each other the most. Maybe Tails could coax her into a video game or she could convince him to help her set up a birthday party.

    Sally Acorn / Twilight Sparkle
    Both are high born but awkward in their new surroundings. Both are leaders by nature and circumstance, followed easily by their fellows because of their bearing and tact. The two are also compulsive information gatherers, prone to extreme emotions, and tend to become exasperated at the antics of their groups: ever playing the straight man. Both however also have a mischievous side.
  •
    Reaction on Meeting: Once the subject of how insane their friends were was raised this would form into a life long alliance after a simultaneous sigh and eye-roll from both Sal and Twi.
    Because Sally is interested in collecting data and Twilight is just a straight up book worm a library would be good unifying ground for the two. Also in small part they have a mutual appreciation for magic.”

You mean Hell? j/k

Speaking of Ken, he revealed controversially that in his headcanon that his OC Geofrey St. John, nailed both Princess Sally Acorn & Lien-Da. and feels it’s necessary to put that on Geoffrey’s character profile like it’s necessary for us to know this… Especially, sense he’s not allowed to use characters like Sally in his comics.
(As a Sally fan, I actually find that rather insulting to her character that she’d be that “easy,” especially with a guy like Geoffrey who’s kinda a jerk, and even forced a kiss on her before, which is now rather creepy in hindsight.)

Now speaking as somebody whom enjoyed some of Ken’s works on the Archie Sonic the Hedgehog comic series, I’m starting to think Ken is a messed up guy. (Or even more then I thought he was.)

Sealed away? Naw. Thrash didn’t seal away the echidnas. He sent them to Penders’s graphic novel.
(This is my attempt at a joke, by the way).

Once again, a my little pony/sonic crossover gets more downvotes than upvotes. It’s because of the rabid fanboys, isn’t it?

My solution would basically be to kill him off, then have a clone or an alternate universe counterpart replace him {Kind of like what happened with the original Robitnik}.

I don’t think they’re going to do that twice.

Also, I disagree about him being a “karmiac Houdini,” as he has gotten alot of crap throughout the past 260+ issues of the comic. His plans are almost always foiled, he’s been roboticized, derobiticized, humiliated, got his butt kicked, his city got nuked, his Egg Fleet, & new city got destroyed by Enerjak, his nephew Snively is always back-stabbing him, was given an epic “reason you suck speech” from Sonic which then resulted in a nervous breakdown, and was driven so insane he didn’t even know what year it was before, and had to be locked up, (Leaving him out of commission for a year) among other things.
Taking his ego into account those things are probably worse then “death” for him. He’s had alot of karma bite him in the butt.

Well, they’ve had every villain get killed in AUs, or alternate futures like that. It’s even implied Eggman is gone in the “Mobius 25/30 Years Later” AU.

@Beau Skunky
Well, Eggman killed the majority of the echidnas during the 1-year time skip {During that story where Sonic ended up in Space} when he attacked Angel Island, and he’s technically responsible for the reboot {I know, the real cause was legal drama}, meaning that he finished off the rest as well as killing/wiping from existence the 90% of the cast of the comic, hence why I say he has the biggest body count in the franchise. My solution would basically be to kill him off, then have a clone or an alternate universe counterpart replace him {Kind of like what happened with the original Robitnik}. He’s pretty much been a huge Karma Houdini at this point despite always getting foiled. And yes, the game version of Eggman did bad things too, but pretty much all of that is either ignored or glossed over at best, especially since the recent games have taken a lighthearted tone after the disastrous attempts at being Dark and Edgy. He’s evil, yes, but not completely and utterly pure evil and psychotic like his Archie, Satam and Fleetway counterparts.

Funny that you compare killing him off to killing The Joker, since the DC Animated Universe actually did kill him off after a particularly terrible thing he did that made him very much deserve to die {If any of you have seen Batman Beyond, then you know that I’m talking about}.

@Lock247
Actually, weren’t the echidnas sealed away by Thrash, or something? (Before the whole time-rift thing, and such kinda rebooted the series due to the Ken Penders’ legal drama.)

Well, the game version has tried to destroy the world before, held Amy at gun-point, kidnapped Tails, released eldrich abominations that could destroy everything, used cute & cuddly animals to power his machines, tried to alter history, tried to kill Sonic in cold-blooded murder, (remember SA2?) and such. He’s done some pretty bad stuff to.
(And don’t try to tell me nobody died when he blew up Prison Island. It was heavily implied there were people/solders there, and such.)
Plus, the Archie version of Robotnik/Eggman has had his silly/funny moments to, so he’s not all grim, despite being a bit of a darker take on the character. (Though, some feel the SatA.M. series & British Fleetway/STC series versions of Robotnik were darker.)

Besides, killing-off the main villain Egg-belly would be like killing off Lex Luthor, or the Joker. Sonic just wouldn’t be the same without the psychotic egg-shaped one. Fans wouldn’t take it to well either.

@Commissar Elusive
Um, Robotnik is still alive in the comics. If anything, I’d argue that’s the problem: He does terrible things like mass genocide throughout the comic {He’s pretty much the reason why Knuckles is the last echidna, at least in the comics, and he has the highest body count out of all the characters in the franchise}, and yet he’ll just get away with it and never be properly punished {IE Killed off} because Sega forbids that from ever happening.

This isn’t so much a problem in the games though, where he’s more of a cartoony villain who never gets to do anything too heinous.

Well, even the upvoted pics have quite a few downvotes, I noticed. The site is kinda fickle about Sonic.

@Ranch
Y’know, I like the Archie Sonic comics to. Surprisingly, they get alot of hate on DA, (DeviantArt) even surprisingly from SatA.M. Sonic fans. (And said comic is the only thing keeping the SatA.M. characters like Sally alive still.)

You don’t know this site then, when it comes to sonic it’s downvoted if it’s pointless, copy & paste/bad edits, crappy art trying to troll, and so on.
If this was good actual art(as in the person did it them self) and not shipping them it would be upvoted.

I don’t people will downvote them just because it’s ‘Sanik’ (well some people do, but they are the vocal minorities), heck, when I posted my Mobian Sunset Shimmer up here I’ve received a metric tons of downvotes, but thankfully someone pointed out the flaws of my pic, so at least I knew what went wrong.

Admittedly, I prefer fanart over “copy & paste” images like this, but this is just a fan’s harmless comparison between the characters. (At least they offer text to read, as well.)

One thing I disagree with though, is before Sonic & Dashie become friends, they’d probably fight first. If you look at the Sonic games & comics, Sonic has a tendency to get into fights with numerous characters (Knuckles, Shadow, Silver, Blaze, Monkey Kahn, ect. Even Megaman, in the Megaman comic crossover.) that he later becomes friends with. The “defeat means friendship” thing seems to be a common trope with Sonic.

I’m actually planning on drawing a “Sonic VS Dashie” pic in the future, (based on that concept) but because of the hedgehog-hate on this site, I probably will just keep it on my DA page.

@Goobyplz
That’s fine. Personally, I think I’ve been following the comics more then the newer games, at this point. (Nothing against the games, mind you. Just either can’t afford them, or they’re mostly on consoles I don’t own.) I like the comics just fine.

I like SatA.M. to, used to be a bigger fan of it, but I think it’s getting a bit overrated. I prefer the comic canon, sense it has more going on in it, besides “sneaking into Robotnik’s city” all the time like SatA.M. did. It also has some characters/events/elements adapted from the game canon in it, so it’s like a combination of the old SatA.M. show canon, the game canon, and some of it’s own unique canon to.

I’m a Nintendo fan, but I like Sega games, and such to. (Especially, Ristar, and Streets of Rage, wish Sega would bring those back.)

@Background Pony #D4FD
I think in Season 2 they said he was 10, but I think he got older in the second season, sense he acted younger in the first. (Like having bedtime stories told to him, and such.)
