I don’t quite remember that. If it was on the pony side of the mirror, I’m not sure it was love, per se; Twilight had just been promoted to Princess, and Rarity has shown plenty of interest in climbing the social ladder, so maybe she started thinking of Twilight differently after the coronation. Got nothing for human Rarity though.
 
It’s probably significant that Rarilight has to compete with Rarijack and Twidash and what have you, while Lyra and Bon Bon are fairly monogamous shipwise, almost always being paired with each other. But I don’t think that’s the explanation. It think it’s a simple matter of Twilight and Rarity being major characters, so any one individual action of theirs will generally do less to define them than one thing a far less prominent character such as Lyra does defines them.

A boycott won’t work if there are too many people willing to buy the product and willing to buy it even more than usual while the bigots are tying to boycott. They could actually increase sales that way. I’d personally buy all the toys and stuff I could find if they did it. (Although, if they edited it out Derpy style, I’d never support them again for that.)
 
Also, the general public that gets mad about this type of thing don’t even bother looking into the company’s products or anything. They’d probably be like “Man, fuck My Little Pony! I’m boycotting them for this! Well, anyway off to see the new Transformers movie.”

Tolerant people are a wider demographic to sell pretty ponies to, because they’re less likely to believe in gender roles and won’t tell their sons they’re not allowed to like ponies. I think it’d be a bold and smart business decision. (But maybe that’s why I don’t own a company. :P)

I think most of the MLP fanbase is tolerant, though. If Fox News went on a big thing about the gay agenda, I think it would encourage more rational people to buy it. Bad publicity from bigots can be good publicity from others. I remember when The Muppets movie was a big target by Fox, I went out and bought the Blu-Ray just because anything Fox News hates must be awesome. (Then I did the same thing with buying a few of the old movies when I heard that they pulled their toys from Chick-Fil-A after they learned about them being homophobic.)Something like that could happen and it would be good for MLP. :3

I pine for the day a show like this gets the courage to just go all out and establish a lesbian or gay relationship in a kids show, but still do it in a not sensual way as you would any other relationship in a kids show. The comical hands on face grab kiss, pining for a boyfriend or girlfriend but it be for the same gender.

That’s perfectly reasonable. However, I also feel that some of the things these people want to censor (and are successful in censoring) pose a threat only to their puritan sensibilities and pose no risk of corrupting or traumatizing the youth. Case in point? This. This right here. I shouldn’t have to be astounded that no one’s up in arms over it. It’s perfectly innocent, bordering on downright wholesome. Or it would be, if they weren’t both girls. (And I’d like to think the lack of outcry over this is due to progress, but it seems more likely that it just didn’t cross their table.)
 
As for my religious views, “deiphobic” isn’t a real word, so the closest actual things would be “misotheism” or “dystheism”. I find the concept of a higher power, particularly the Judeo-Christian God, to be frankly downright terrifying.

I think just as a rule, many of those things like violence, sex, and all that as it states shouldn’t be tossed at children, at the VERY LEAST, it should done in an educated manner not some careless parent letting a 7 year old watch hardcore porn. Yes you get subjected to all that but the moral is not that ALL of it should be sheltered but i DO at least think it should be somewhat shielded to a degree.
 
Im not christian, im funnily enough in the anton lavey church of satanism but even still… i think its careless to not think of them at ALL, but in the same respect its careless to be TOO FAR in how much of sex, and violence you shelter away. Ive been called a prude a LOT on the internet but they havnt seen my porn collection. There is a time and place for things, i think sex should not be shown as much as it is, violence too is maybe a bit much. I think we just need better rating system and try and let parents decide of how much is what.

Ive heard zilch from it, and don’t know quite what you mean as i could be labeled as one of those people in some aspects. I think game of thrones is one of the most garbage shows on television for all its sex and what not, its just a high budget softcore porn to me.
 
GTA V i think also has some parts with sex in it that you cant ignore like you could in some previous gta’s to a degree and its done in a way more misogynistic way than ever before so i get all the hate about it. THAT being said as i mentioned stuff like game of thrones which is EVEN WORSE is adored which baffles me.
 
But this, idk i sensed a lesbian relationship starting with twilight and sunset shimmer, that moment when twilight stopped sunset before she left to go back to bed… almost seemed like twilight was gonna say she loved her or something… shipping fuel… shipping fuel everywhere. Sunset Shipping the movie. If they did it right, and are under the radar JUST enough…. i think they could get away with a proper lesbian relationship in the next movie. It could also flare up too so who knows.

So, have the “think of the children!” people found out about this and thrown a tantrum yet?
