It’s not just about using vectors, though - a lot of your shots are fairly static. Two characters talking while walking is more visually interesting than two characters talking while standing around, your scenes could use a little more motion and dynamism. There’s also the question of different angles and zooms - mixing up shots so that some are close-cropped around their faces, some are pulled out to show a large area, some are from the side, some are from behind or front-on, mixing these elements up helps make a series more interesting to look at.

I know that feel, bro…I’d aspire to be as artistically adept as any other artist…
 
But, being basically bland at brewing up brightening pieces, I’m but a blunder…

thanks guys. on occasion I go for different angles but the way I usually do things is to capture a moment I would like to see certain characters in a scenario or just to scratch an itch with a quick vector. you’re right about the samey-sameness. It’s easier for comics.
 
I don’t have the skills of an artist who can draw by hand, so pure, not-from-sketch vectors is how I found to do things.

Spike seems to be looking for his waifu. “She must be down there somewhere!”

This makes me think of the ending to Lion King 2

I agree! I envy his patience, skill and fame, and I can tell he has a lot of potential!

I really like dm29’s work, these characters, and the stuff he does with them, but I feel like it’d be nice to see him work on some more diverse expressions, poses and angles for his art. As-is they’re a little flat and samey - I know he’s trying to capture the look of the show as well as make it easy to put out a lot of comic panels, but sometimes quality counts over quality or sticking to a repetitive visual theme.
