Description

There is a light for the lost and the meek.
Sorrow and fear,
Are easily forgotten,
When you submit to the soil of the earth.

Was that site supposed to provide a means of watching it? ‘Cause when I went there it looked like all it was was a wiki explaining the show’s premise. I interpreted Laberat’s post as “we all know what this show is, but since you poor deprived souls outside the US have no way of knowing, here’s a description… now stop whining about not being able to get the reference”. If that wasn’t what he was saying, well sorry. I didn’t mean anything by it.

If you truly followed the link provided (http://www.watchcartoononline.com/anime/over-the-garden-wall) then you somehow missed the button that said ‘Watch on Playlist’, which would take you to directly to the video of the episode. In addition, if you clicked on any of the individual episodes, you would see the video for that episode directly below the description of the episode. It’s the same for all shows listed on the site, MLP included.

Also @Wiimeiser said
Not available outside the US so… To get the joke I’ll have to travel overseas.
and
the show’s never been made available in my country.

So Laberat provided a link to where he and other people who were interested in seeing it, and not in the U.S., could do so. Taking his simple comment of “For those outside the U.S.”, which is clearly in response to Wiimeiser not being able to view it in their country due to restrictions from the other links, and interpreting it as “we all know what this show is, but since you poor deprived souls outside the US have no way of knowing, here’s a description… now stop whining about not being able to get the reference” is rather harsh and illogical.

What? I’m not upset and I did read all the other comments before posting. I was mainly amused by the way Laberat phrased his post.

Fuzzbutt
I’d watch it but I don’t like stories about happy-go-lucky heroes who get brutally crushed by an uncaring, dead universe and psychologically tormented, until their own death seems like some kind of sad parody of an escape.

we get enough of that in real life

for those outside the USA
You make it sound like everyone in the US has heard of this thing. Not everyone has Cartoon Network and it’s certainly not popular enough that every Joe Schmoe at the office is going to be talking about it over the water cooler.

Calm down. If you bothered to read the other comments, you’d know the only reason they stated it was for those outside the US was because the other links restricted viewing to those outside the country. There’s nothing in what they said that indicated it was as big as, say, the Super Bowl.

♫ Led through the mist,

By the milk-light of moon,

All that was lost, is revealed.

Our long bygone burdens, mere echoes of the spring,

But where have we come, and where shall we end?

If dreams can’t come true, then why not pretend?

Oh how the gentle wind,

Beckons through the leaves,

As autumn colors fall.

Dancing in a swirl,

Of golden memories,

The loveliest, lies of all. ♫
