and from most of the fanwork i’ve seen… it’ll take some serious mindscrew for ohshima to make the fandom’s jaws drop. probably going to have to be borderline ‘go mad from the revelation’ type of thing.
murata’s the one i’m familiar with the most (with taka second, soejima is a complete blank to me)
and you know you’ve got an ignorant hater if they blame hasbro for kissplayers (despite it being a takaratomy product), hence the comic (no one gets the ‘are you kidding me face?’ on ohshima?). I’ve seen some of his stuff but it’s like people think he does the legion tongue and xeno/technophilia 24-7
That would be the problem of TakaraTomy (co-owners of the Transformers franchise) and/or bushiroad (who licenses MLP FIM in Japan, primarily the first 52 episodes).
Masami Ohbari? He was mostly notorious in the 90’s. Some YouTuber mentioned that he is the equivalent of Rob Liefeld in Japan.
How about Shigenori Soejima of Atlus’ SMT Persona fame, or Tony Taka of Sega’s Shining series, or Range Murata?
actual his art style kinda fits MLP, it’s the plot that would make or break it.
it’s not like hasbro’s gonna hire milo manara or masami obari for MLP
