Now, I’m not a Kingdom Hearts fanboy, but if I recall, only those with exceptionally strong hearts can have a keyblade. From what I’ve seen, this… Afro doesn’t seem to be a very focused individual, he’s brash, he’s kind of stupid, whereas Sora was determined to find his friends, kind, and he never asked questions we didn’t already know the answer to.
 
tl;dr Afro doesn’t deserve a keyblade.
