Enjoy!
That makes snakes pretty awesome, doesn’t it.
I bet that changeling on the left is going to be getting off to this tonight.
I suppose that’s a solution. Assume the fantasy world operates like the real one, and for the parts that don’t, just go “Well, I guess this part’s different.”
The key is not to throw off every sense of logic you have when one tenant that is established as different by the fantasy world.
That’s the thing. Outside of the magical creatures, most people will see this universe as operating much like our own. Take Chryssie’s hair. Why is it down like that instead floating up? We would answer with “gravity”. I doubt anybody would suggest she glued it down, and even with that explanation you would be importing real world knowledge. This is all assuming what she has is like hair, sprouting from her head, which is another assumption we bring from the real world, instead of some loose collection of energy she coalesces with her magic.
We sure as hell don’t expect Chryssie’s shout in the last panel to destroy the entire world, because that’s not how shouts work in our world. We also assume that some sort of sound exists in their world, since we think that’s what the minions are jumping at, and not that they spontaneously decided to jump at moment.
I could go on and on, but hopefully my point is clear. That’s what I find so problematic about “Don’t bring the real world into fantasy”: you already are bring SO MUCH into it.
Chrysalis has a tiny waist in the show, might lend a little to the theory that there isn’t much in there.
Hydrofluoric acid? That’s almost hydrogen fluoride! :o
see, that’s the problem right there. We’re already talking about magical talking ponies and shapeshifting horse/bug creatures. We’re pretty damn far removed from real world.
so why bring real world restriction into it?
I bet you also make comments about back pain on images involving huge breasts, don’t you?
It’s a double standard. It’s fine when you use real world knowledge to make the porn make work, like “stomachs contain acid”, “acid dissolves”, “being dissolved kills”. We aren’t expected to look at this pic as if we were newborns with no experience of the world it depicts. But when you use real world knowledge that contradicts the world the porn depicts, that’s somehow “bad”.
Not if Chryssie’s stomach acid was extremely corrosive, like hydrofluoric acid. That thing will do work.
The point is that there is still some knowledge that we import from the real world, like “things that are dissolved by acid are dead”.
Looking purely at the digestive aspect, in real life, unless she was a snake, being that large, the princesses would languish in her stomach so long they’d rot and become poisonous to her, and most of their skeletons would still be left behind.
well, yes. Just like in 80% of all r34 porn.
Just the selective realism to serve the purposes of the fetish, right?
I mean, it’s not like we’re expected to believe that the princesses actually died and dissolved in stomach acid, kind of like you’d expect in REAL life?
I love how Chrysalis was drawn through all of this, too.
It had really good art though.
Don’t worry, that was a great piece of work and everyone knows it! (I’m totally not over-hyped right now)
Ah yes, realism in a cloppy vore comic starring pony princesses. I’ll keep that in mind next time!
