Oh please.

That’d be an improvement.

Go up to some people on the street and ask the real name of Batman’s sidekick.

If any of them answer with anything bedides simply “Robin” or if they actually there is/was more than one, I’ll be fucking amazed.

(i derped, here is the rest of the sentence)
… character is that he will become many people’s representation of Robin and people will completely overlook the fact that he doesn’t exist, and isn’t canon. They forget all 4 other Robins, and i can’t let that be.

-Dick Grayson became a police officer, temporarily, but AFTER he was Robin and Nightwing for a while. Not vice versa.

Now, as a comic book fan, that did irk me slightly. However, if they had used any of the Robin names, then the twist would have been given away early, and the people who are only fans of the movies and not the comics wouldn’t get the ending. It’s one of those pragmatic adaptation moves that keep it open to everyone.

I just don’t see why he couldn’t have just picked one, it’s good it was stated at the very end because it just took me right out of the movie … I dunno I get that he was combining all of them, all he was missing is making him Bruce’s bastard son, but I didn’t like it … that being said it was a phenomenal movie that I watched thrice in the theater and raged at the same part each time

@Yurp:

Do you not understand the concept of a composite character?

He was meant to be a representation of all three main Robins.

-He lost his parents Like Dick Grayson
-He’s more pragmatic and is willing to use guns like Jason Todd
-And he deduced Batman’s identity like Tim Drake.

You know what I absolutely hated about that movie … i mean completely ruined it for me?
the fact that they completely fucked up robin. Not one of the four robins were actually named robin, non of them were cops, I get that this is a re-imagining but there is a fine line between ones take and just fucking wrong
