I had thought sirens used to eat men but a quick check online shows that in mythology they actually left the bodies of the men they lured to their deaths to rot and so presumably they lived off some sort of supernatural energy for substance so apperntly they can only eat Negative energy.
 
That said if they can truly only subside on negative energy that makes them worse than a changeling who at least can survive on positive emotions. Regardless of their need to survive on negative energy their tactics for doing so cause significant social disruption and as such they are predators and deserve to wiped out.If a solution can be made either by altering their needs or simply absorbing natural negative energy without causing it(hanging out in war-zones) then perhaps they need mot have action taken against them
 
But it seems The ponies dealt with them by banishing them to another dimension so I suppose thats a more merciful solution than extermination.

You are aware that they FEED on negative energy right? If her and the others didn’t get the negative energy they would presumadly die.

It’s sometimes hard to not have a little sympathy for the monsters. To a mouse, a hawk is the harbinger of death, but does the hawk have any choice? Are the mice justified in slaying it?

Because she was a greedy,monstrous Siren who sought to engineer conflict and aggression within pony kind to feed her own energy from their negative one and after being caught is now Presumbly going to be dumped into the Human world. Pretty good reson to tie someone up I guess.
