Oddly enough, I had a conversation similar to this with my father just today, only we were discussing words with regards to obsessions with various things.
 
Me: “So, wait, there’s being a nymphomaniac, so being obsessed with sex, there’s kleptomaniac, who constantly steals… is there… something for someone obsessed with money?”  
Father: “No… Maybe… Probably…”  
Me: “I mean, “maniac”-related… Otherwise, erm… “Greedy”?”  
Father: “I dunno.”
 
It seems that there’s a lot of words out there for… very specific purposes.

Yes? I’m just saying I think it’s a real thing, with a real word for it, and it’s gotta be something-philia. Problem is I don’t really know enough Latin or Greek.

Why “Mythophilia”? The same can be said for anyone who feels a sexual attraction to a character from this show, as “Magical Ponies” don’t exist, either…
