uh no… that would be like saying black people or asian birth faster…. doesnt make sense.
If you really want to get technical, human gestational length does vary by ethnicity, a little bit: Link
And according to this Link there is also some variation between horse breeds (more variation than is seen in cows, sheep, or pigs. in fact), and that’s just between different types of horses!
Now think how much more variation might be possible between the Equestrian “pony” “races”! Pegasi, Earth-Ponies, and Unicorns feature fairly radical anatomical and physiological differences, much more profound than the comparatively minor cosmetic differences between human ethinic groups or breeds of horse.
Besides: magic, and pastel cartoon ponies, and stuff. Who’s to say what does or doesn’t make sense in this context?

really?

Oh wait I just noticed she says “another nine months,” so since she’s already swollen with child, perhaps this is 2 months into the pregnancy? I feel foolish for not spotting it before. Easy mistake to make, the text is rather small after all.

Yeah, pretty sure most peggies can still fly for at least short straight-line bursts, even full-term…it’s endurance flight, stunts & fancy hovering that would be ill-advised. Pretty sure the lack of such would drive Dashie a little stir-crazy, though.

also this is RD, like thee most active and conditioned pony ever….. a little extra weight aint gonna make any difference doing regular tasks such as just moving around. real world example is fat people can still walk if they choose to……….and ride the walmart scooter when they dont lol

I’d need to know more about the tendency for outliers like Bulk Biceps before concluding anything about ‘average’ peggie builds…though I could see less of a tendency for multiples than earthies or unicorns.

Also, Soar can nuke up his own pies, unless clouds lack the juice for appliances.

yeah theres no reason a pregnant pegasi wouldn;t be able to fly right up until near birth also ponies would be 11 months not human 9

Maybe pegasi give birth faster than other pony races? The general consensus seems to be that pegasi would be smaller and more lightly build, and if they’re would be flying right up until birth (living in the clouds and such) being further along would tend to make that more of a burden than staying active would be for, say, an earth pony.
