To be fair, these are before the incidents with Twilight using magic to perform the Winter Wrapup, not going all Punisher on the bulls in the comic, stomping her in the Falling Leaves race, and consistently proving herself superior to her hard work with natural talent, esp. during Trixie’s little jaunt. All Babidi needs is that spark of hatred to control her.
But then again, this does mean we get to see Rarity slice Babidi in half for supposedly killing Spike. XD
