Mind you that before RR was released, most people didn’t like her characterization on the first Equestria Girls movie (generic, bitchy) other than her design and Rebecca Shoichet’s voice acting.
Well, I wish I could dispute that, since I actually did like Sunset before Rainbow Rocks happened. But my love of Sunny-sun came via the IDW comic, which I read before seeing EQG1. And yes, her awesome design and voice acting helped a lot.
 
Regardless, Sunset Shimmer is best mutant-humanoid. She is within a few slots of being Best Pony as well.

I did, as long as she tries to balance out between her kind behavior and her mean behavior while maintaining her likeability, it might work out.
 
That depends on whoever is writing EQG 3, however.

Actually, pretty much the whole consensus prefers to see her in the current state that we’ve saw on Rainbow Rocks (reformed, moe-blob).
