I remember quite a bit actually. Where as DT was trying to see what was in the newspaper and absentmindedly shoving a random pony to the side, Silver Spoon violently shoved Pipsqueak away from her because she didn’t want him in the picture.
 
Silver Spoon wanted to stay behind and taunt the CMC on the float ready and willing alongside Babs until she noticed Diamond Tiara not want to ruin a fun day with a float she was already pretty impressed by, finding a good place to watch the floats is more important than bringing down the CMC’s spirits apparently.
 
Silver Spoon delivers the biggest cracks and meanest lines on the show. And the ‘blackmail’ stuff was silly embarrassing pictures that would have ended up more kharmic for all the things the CMC did to everypony else if it did get published, DT apparently got taught that was DIPLOMACY as she states in the episode.
 
 
So yeah, Silver Spoon could be that pony DT looks up to. Who got her cutie mark first. Who says you can only be special in any way by having one.
 
Silver Spoon doesn’t let DT out of her sight. She can interpretly come off as clingy and just overly possessive, considering she doesn’t let DT go off on her own.
 
 
But really? Those two are just kids with their own views of whose right and whose wrong. Lots of kids are jerks. That’s a fact. If someone has something the other doesn’t have, or even if they have something better, they’ll still want whatever the other one has if they see them with it.
 
DT and Silver are just good friends who just love being around the other, and sadly friends influence friends so they are likely learning off each other, meaning they pick up each others’ likes and dislikes. It happens.
 
DT and Silver are great ponies. In their own right. And just because they make fun of the CMC doesn’t mean they are bad ponies. Just ponies who still have a lot of growing up to do.
 
But far as whose meaner or nicer? The show has given us enough to say that these two are practically on the same tier. People just happen to not want to project more onto one and less onto another because most ‘fans’ of Silver and Sonata just happen to find them attractive and so the cute ones can’t possibly be evil~
 
You know, despite Sonata having the meanest and scariest bloodthirsty face during her transformation and having zero emotion towards anyone who gets hurt. Nope. She likes tacos and is a Nega Pinkie so she’s been Silver Spooned where she is the victim and forced or thrown away by the others for whatever stupid reason they come up with to ‘redeem’ the Taco Princess.
 
DT has potential. Silver Spoon loves her buddy, and even shown to know how to tease Tiara during Pinkie Pride. And those two were just adorable as high hell in Twilight Time. So let’s hope they get more character focus in S5!

I find it amusing that “playground” tatics like name calling and shoving others are considered “sins”. Perhaps her manpulations of the CMC and subsequent blackmail in pony confidential are more deserving of that term. Also it looks like evil Silverspoon just caused the apocalypse and is happy with that while a horrified Tiara looks on with an expression of why on her face… For the contex given by the author Diamond is the “good one”.

She’s more bad than good. Remember how she pushed Dinky hooves away in “Ponyville Confidential”? Or maybe when she repeatedly calls the CMC “Blank Flanks”? I got pages of her sins.

I know at least one story that did this. Unfortunately, it also went completely over the top, making her unredeemably evil and Diamond Tiara nearly all innocent. Few authors try to make it not a black and white issue.
