and they could have done that, but they didn’t. The thing is, I’m not ruling out the possibility of there being another reason for them not doing that, just because we don’t know doesn’t mean that we should make up reasons on the spot.
Look, if they had just let one person go they would have saved face for thousands. It doesn’t take a genius to do the math and realize where the money is. I’d say something negative about Curnow’s poor judge of character but I think that’s obvious at this point.
not exactly, they are both practically one and the same in the principles that they operate for, which is helping maintain a course towards the establishment’s objectives and goals, from a general perspective of course as that kind of responsibility entails many different types of work, obviously performed by multiple people.
also, no, it’s not going to ensure bad PR keeping the person hired, the fact which contradicts your statement here is that all of his actions which proved to be Bad PR were removed upon being taken into account by the higher ups. no, that’s just a conduct of how establishments actually work, any respectable establishment would keep things like those in private, Especially during controversies and drama. It would actually be a huge misconduct of management if anyone in their team released a private conversation between two of its employees to the general public, it’s called private for a reason..
It’s not like Derpibooru operates any differently, y’know? small as it is in comparison to a 15 years old comic book publishing team, the site administrators and moderators obviously bear loads of private conversations about the site, its members, the situations going on, dramas, controversies And so on.
IDW always gets mad when they say that they can’t release the emails between Ted and them that supposedly explain everything. Hey, if it solves everything and is no big deal, surely Ted would want people to know what he really feels and give IDW permission to tell people, RIGHT?
In this case, it’s not really that hard to see it. The line is being crossed the moment we start assuming things without any logical reason behind it. There is a reason we would assume things when we’re angry with someone, but there isn’t anything to back up our assumptions other than what our gut reactions infer from the little things we do know about a person we hate.
The moment we started bringing in IDW into the equation, with no evidence to hold any of the claims towards them having become unscrupulous and supportive of a negative ideology towards its audience, as we don’t know what exactly are the going ins and outs with their management, the people who work there, not Even Ted Anderson himself as a person, we’ve lost a great deal of rationality and level headedness.
The question is when the line is crossed. Of course there are always people who go to far, but there is also people who are just saying that they don’t like what Anderson has done. Mentioning it here might have been of topic, but I feel that just like there are people that feel the need to mention this on every Image, theres also people that say that no one should ever say bad things about him because its pointless drama or crossing the line. I feel this causes all kinds of pointless arguments or adds fuel to the fire.
I think comics, Equestria Girls and G.M berrow or Amy Keating Rogers books are not canon until referenced in the show.

And before someone says it, it’s not just about the shoutouts to horrible sexists. It’s also Ted Anderson’s fake apology, his repeated posts on TRS defending sexism/racism as long as it’s the right kind of sexism/racism, the fact that IDW pretended to fire Anderson to let things blow over, and Bobby Curnow’s implacable refusal to give a shit, to hit the highlights.
They’re stating that the comics are a side-project to the main show. Yeah, they pretty much are; just like any other franchise that has a “main” form of media with spinoffs in other forms. (like Star Wars movies -> Clone Wars cartoon series)
no, it doesn’t. I apologize for my earlier tone, I’m just honestly tired of this Ted drama, because everytime that drama like this arises, I keep thinking back to derpygate.
there’s just this fine line I think some people here have crossed between hating the guy and trying to run him out of town. At least if these discussions can be kept in topic with what’s being said, not about lamenting the fact that he’s still working on IDW and IDW is supporting SJWs, then it would be perfectly fine and, I can admit that I was wrong about that too, the discussion was about that for the most part, but you can probably see it even now how it started derailing from the post’s original subject matter, back into the circle of “we hate Ted Anderson and the fact that he’s still breathing”.
