Yeah, it’s a shame, but I still like some of their games sense they went third-party, and I don’t think all of their newer Sonic games are that bad. (I liked “Sonic Heroes,” and even the controversial “Shadow” game personally.)
I kinda wish they would revive one of their other franchises like Streets of Rage, Vectorman, Ristar, or something…
The rest of the world count too and the saturn did poorly. The Dreamcast was an amazing system but PS2 threw quite a punch to Sega. Nintendo with their GC and X-Box were proven too much.
So, Sega console died for good. Now, Sega is only a shadow of their former selves…
Actually, I hear the Saturn was quite successful in Japan. The Dreamcast actually did quite well, it was just proving to expensive for Sega to continue supporting. (Due to console-manufacturing costs, which they have to make up with the disc games sold, and also due to it’s internet costs apparently. I’m not sure.)
Dreamcast was the last great system from Sega. Unfortunately, people were too burned by the Sega CD, 32X, and Saturn.
That’s good, some console-loyalists can be annoying…
I admit, I prefer mostly Nintendo, but that’s all it is for me, a “preference,” not a “fanboy obsession.”
And yes, I’ve taken heat from Sony-fanboys, and such because of that, though I do like other systems. I even admit my sister’s PS2 was cool, and I wanted to get a Sega DreamCast, (I’m a li’l partial to Sega to) but it was sadly discontinued.
I have many gaming systems and I never was a console loyalist.
I was beginning to think whoever this person was only had Sega games, nice to see they appreciate the good ol’ 8-bit NES to.
“Star Tropics” was a cool game, despite it’s “trial and error” gameplay at some points.
