True on both counts. Rarity’s mom was of course intentionally designed to be horribly out of style to contrast with Rarity herself, but with the right work she can be even sexier than her daughter. At least, if you like BBWs (as everyone should) and mature women.

I can see what you’re saying about the hair. It’s probably something to do with how… ‘mom-ish’ and out-of-date it looks. I don’t quite know how to describe it. Suffice to say that it doesn’t look that great.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to draw her with the bouffant and tried to make it look sexy. I can’t make it work. Other ponies can look hot with their hair up (Cherry Jubilee for one) but for some reason not Rarity’s mom.
