Per EQD, this appears to be a separate 5 issue mini-series, each doing a prequel story about the major villains to date.
The Sirens would also be good unreliable narrators, but using it twice in the same miniseries would be cheap.
That would actually be kind of amazing. Chrysalis’ origin story told via unreliable narrator? That sounds fantastic.
If she does that, and if the Mane 6 (or Main 7) call BS on it, that’ll make the entire miniseries worth it.
Sooo… if Chrysalis is telling her own origin story… then naturally she’s going to present herself as a poor, misunderstood woobie who was just trying to feed her people.
Is the “him” Ahuizotl or Discord?
The way Curnow worded his response about Discord makes me wonder if they (or DHX) aren’t planning a different project entirely with him.
Ah, okay. Still, I can’t help but wonder if there might not be other evil forces that could make better use of the exposure. Ahuizotl comes to mind a little, the Alicorn Amulet comes to mind more strongly.
Heck, they could probably do another one of these next year. Those two, plus Discord, Sunset (also a bit of a retread, but also with territory that hasn’t been covered), and… Let’s just use the Flim-Flam brothers as a placeholder until we see Season 5’s baddies.
As the comic solicts are out, we know this will cover her time during banishment to the moon. While Chyssy’s story involves the mane 6 talking to her in the present.

No, it’s your fault for not recognizing one of the predominant rules of comic books: Nine times out of ten, a comic book’s cover does not accurately reflect the actual contents of the book.
Even if there’s a hint of truth, it can still be complaining.

So we’ve heard.
Yeah,I’ve gotten that from the constant complaints on practically any IDW related image(even on things non IDW related)and the fact that everyone on the IDW thread in the forums hates most of the comic’s recent outputs.
However,I don’t hate IDW’s MLP comics as a whole.I will agree their is some shit ones(FF# 1,EG Holiday special and the western arc),but it hasn’t gotten to the point where I hate the comics as much as other posters on the site.So I still have some faith in the comics.Unlike a lot of people on this site.
