This reply is ridiculously late, but nah’. Swords generally aren’t made that sharp, because it would dull too fast to be of any real use in a battlefield.

Swords generally cut with a bit more force behind them. This also allows for “half-swording”, which is kind of a fighting method against fully armored opponents where you grab the blade with one of your hands for better accuracy.
