Whatever freedom Rainbow Dash felt flying, Derpy Hooves felt calculating the ship’s jumps amongst the stars. She knew freedom, freedom of the air and stars. Too many of her fellow Equestrians saw her crooked eyes and clumsy demeanor made the quick judgement. But those who knew her best knew she was a savant at calculating position within 3D space. Few Pegasi would begrudge her that.
 
Beside her, Lyra chuckled as the calculations came through and the inevitable argument filtered forward from engineering. Derpy laughed as she finished her course plot.
