I present to you my very first attempt at using Adobe After-Effects! It isnt quite done, but I have to sleep eventually.
 
Dont get AE and expect to just be able to wade into it as if it were photoshop.

I know what you mean, you have to be really looking for it to notice that the thumbnail is animated. It’s a subtle change, but I think it’s worth the extra life that comes out of it :-)
