Along with the “Dirty Harry” series, “Firefox” is my favourite Clint Eastwood film. It was seeing that pic by Underpable - even though more reminiscent of that scene with the X-Wings in the trailer for “Star Wars VII” - which brought to mind Gant (low on fuel) and about to come up against the Soviet Navy missile cruiser Riga. In this case, the scenario goes thus:
Via information gleaned from Zecora (whose relative was captured by Queen Chrysalis), Princess Celestia informs Princess Twilight that the Changelings now possess a new spell, which after testing, they intend to use on the entire Hive. If not stopped, these ‘Super-Changelings’ will spell ultimate doom for all of Equestria. So Celestia recruits the most powerful unicorn for the task of redressing the balance, equipping her with a special spell.
Using a transformation spell, Twilight disguises herself as a Changeling, to infiltrate the Hive and steal this prototype spell. Successful, she escapes the Hive, but she is pursued by one of said Hive, disguised as Rainbow Dash (with equal flying abilities). It is then that Twi utilises the spell given her by Celestia: Double Wings.
She is able to outrun this Dashie double, by flying at Marech-6; however, in her way is a Hive colony: with Chrysalis controlling such. At her speed, Twi cannot avoid the cluster, so she uses the ‘Super-Changeling’ Spell herself to disable Chrysalis, and thus cause chaos within the Hive. As a result, the ‘Dashie Double’ crashes & burns, leaving Twi free to take the spell away, and restore Harmony in Equestria.

Twilight Gant: “Comin’ in at 20 feet” (Flicks weapons control upwards on stick) “…weapons systems armed.” (Presses button on stick) “Rearward defence system engaged. Hope it burns up the sky!”
(Targets appear on HUD#)
“…there she is. Picking up Changelings right now, I think I’ll take one out:” (Thinks in Changeling; energy blast fires from horn)
The butthurt seems to be emanating from the people who get INCREDIBLY defense at the first sign of any kind of criticism and/or critical thought. Let me guess. You think Doctor Who 2005 just gets better for each season too?
@FanOfMostEverything
Not to mention that overanalysis can result in new ideas that you can use in your own work later. That’s a process of thinking, and thinking is good!
There’s a type of fan (or should I say “fan”?) who is impossible to please. They enjoy complaining about the thing they are supposedly fans of, more than they enjoy the thing itself. And the more popular something on – eg. Star Wars, or MLP:FiM – the more of these negafans there are.
@gittonsxv
That’s because there was no internet, finding (and making) miniscule scrutinizing comments was infintely harder than now. And also the shock factor was in place: a lot of these techniques were new and impossible, and that held attention way better than it does now, since a lot of people have gotten used to it.
And they happen to have internet access and free time.
Plus some of the ‘bitching’ may be informative if done right. For example, Skallagrim’s sword videos are interesting to watch, at least for me.
@Ilsor
ye but you have more and more people complain if ANYTHING is not 100% perfect,
look at that anon, bitching that this cool looking scene is bad because they are not flying in exact regulation formation at the most efficient distance and height, fuck that shit, did anyone care when action heros in the 70s-2000s did insane shit like jumping off buildings and doing mad car skills? no but now a days everybody has a stick up their ass about it.
@gittonsxv
One of the things about fantasy is that its mastery lies in the balance of possible and impossible, to show how beautiful and spectacular our world with these event could be.
That’s my personal take on it.
@Background Pony #673C
people like you are ruining films.
remember when films could have anything that looked cool, was awesome, was badass and the like without being 100% perfectly accurate with a valid reason to exist? ye i miss those.

To put it succinctly:
No offense meant to Ilsor. Overanalysis can be quite fun, especially if you can think of new justifications that contribute to the story.
i think that explains it.
good point, now i wish people and critics would chill out a little bit.

Yes I remember Elysium. No the story still doesn’t make any sense.
