I’m certain most of her weight is supported by her leg off the shovel, it’s really a non issue.

yes, I have. and even with that curve(though the shovels I’ve used were more of a flat edge), it would still be kinda painful barefooted.
shovels are designed for use with shoes, not bare feet.
It’s not so bad. Most shovels have a curve at the back designed for your foot to be placed. Granted, this is usually done with a shoe or boot on, but her foot is actually in the right spot.
