In fact let’s have downvotes on comments too, and have it so those that are hugely downvoted are hidden. totally wont be abused at all, oh no. While we’re at it, why don’t we have it so when you want to view an image that you clicked on, we have to do one more click in order to actually see the image. Also let’s change the site name to reddit too.

All we really need is an edit button for our own posts and a button to Like a post.

separating the pic from the coment section any further is a big no-no for me.

I think it looks alright as an alternate style in terms of aesthetics, don’t particularly care for any of the additional functionality/social media stuff either though.
 
The ability to edit your comments would definitely be a nice addition though as stated previously.

the rounded design looks a lot more easy on the eyes, especially how OP layed it out

but the tagging a source editing being more visible would be a welcome change

The social media links are already there, the’re just hypertext links at the moment. The new design replaces them with widget buttons. I’m not sure what the benefit is, other than maybe making them more obvious and accessable. (I don’t use them, so it doesn’t matter to me if they’re there or not.)
 
What I do find worrisome is a lack of a “Post anonymously?” checkbox. Hopefully that’s an oversight and the function is not going away. If it does, you’ll get a lot fewer postings, I think.

Social media links, terrible UI design that everyone’s been doing lately that looks too round and stupid, no post as anon option, smaller buttons which confuse stupid people and one wrong slip and things go wrong, Edit source button is too close to fricken share buttons if anything, which will discourage people from adding a source
 
 
Everything about this is just wrong in so many ways, and looks very, very terrible.
 
I would just like to point out that the circular design that a lot of things use nowadays is like the comic sans of UI design.

The only reasonable share button is the one for Tumblr, since their rules are fairly lenient about the kind of stuff that gets on their servers.
 
FB’s, Pinterest’s, or Twitter’s share button would only be good for safe or suggestive images.

…And waaaaait, serious complaint. For the love of Celestia, do not put social media links! If someone pins or posts or whatever an explicit source, or maybe not even one depending on the mood, the Wrath of Hasbro and their Hammer of C&D will descend on us all.
