You know, I rather liked Twilight’s tower. It had a certain charm that her library lacked, and the Friendship Castle feels like it’s trying too hard.

How so? It’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to as far as I can see.
 
Obviously not fancy or impressive compared to things she did later, but she’s just trying to find a book here.

Come to think about it, she’s not just levitating books, she casted some spell. Maybe come-to-life spell, or array-moving spell, or something like that?..

I can’t remember my own reaction anymore, but I love how most of the blind reaction folks on youtube react to this specific moment. It’s the first time we see an unicorn use magic and how one of their basic skills is levitation, which is actually pretty cool. I also remember watching this episode with a friend and he asked several times which of the ponies were able to fly and if they all got unique skills. The memories…good times!
