Equestria does seem to be the biggest and most prosperous nation though. The Buffalo live a tribal existence, and it is implied by Zecora that Zebras do the same, while Dragons don’t even seem to have a society, they just live like really smart animals. The Crystal Kingdom looks really impressive though, so Moriarty gets that.
 
I suppose and apt comparison is Discord getting America and Canada, while Moriarty gets Europe, China, and the other Third World Countries.
