I’m in an MLP group on Facebook, and it’s common for people there to do commissions. But, there’s also plenty of people who do requests and ask for requests. Well, there was a young girl(A girl who was far to young to be on facebook in the first place. Seemed 7/8/9/10 in age.), and she wanted someone to draw her pony for her. Well, her drawing of her OC was obviously very childish in style. Which was very understandable considering. But, no one wanted to take her request by the look of things no matter who she asked. So, wanting to help her, I took the request and started on it right away. This of course is the end result! She absolutely loved it, and that in turn made me very very happy. I’m so glad she loved it, and her pony was actually a lot of fun to draw!
Here’s her original picture for anyone who’d like to see it. It was a screen cap from her recording of drawing it.

Haha well I can see why that would have happened! Now that I think about it, she’d probably look adorable with some rainbow pants. Though, the little girl seemed to love Lyra since she posted LOTS of Lyra pictures into the group. That’s why I chose the pose. But I agree with backgrounds…I definitely need more practice in that area. I’ve never been good at backgrounds, and I’ve only recently gotten into drawing MLP art.

I’m just glad she was happy. It made me very happy in turn to see her being so excited about the picture. But, like I mentioned above I chose Lyra’s pose for those reasons. But I didn’t draw over a picture of Lyra. I have a folder of screenshots from the show saved just for pose references. I made the picture from scratch, it took a few days just to get the body and pose right! Though, as for the boots, I wasn’t sure how to make them. She wanted boots with holes in them just like she wore in the original, so I did my best to make them as well as I could. Though, I added the little multicolored stitches just to give the boots a little more color and detail.
Good on you for that generosity, Deltafairy. Aside from the Lyra pose she looks pretty good. You should invest some time in background practice at some point.
‘Though the pose you’ve used here, I can too easily tell you drew over Lyra. It’s too distinctive a pose. Like the socks, not used to seeing holey ones on non-changlings.
